Anne Rice (born Howard Allen O'Brien, October 4, 1941 – December 11, 2021) was an American author of horror/fantasy novels. Interview with the Vampire and The Queen of the Damned are among her best-known works. She wrote four series, including The Vampire Chronicles and Christ the Lord.
